Craig Cackowski
TEACHING AND COACHING WORKSHOPS
Class 1: Teaching and Coaching Improv
A lecture by Craig Cackowski on putting together a lesson plan for classes and rehearsals, how to run exercises and notes, how to assess students’ development and how to manage the rehearsal process for a goal-specific show, or an open-ended team.
Class 2: Coaching the Coaches
Bring in a favorite exercise, or something you’ve always wanted to teach. Craig will give you feedback on how you’re introducing it, giving feedback to players, and how to make it more effective in future rehearsing/classes!
Class 3: Innovation Machine
We all know the tried-and-true exercises, games, and forms. Let’s target some common improviser problems and solve them with all NEW exercises!
Class 4: Troubleshooting
Improv is a human endeavor, for all the good and bad that entails! We’ll discuss common struggles that improvisers have in class (with others and with themselves), resolving personality conflicts that arise between teammates, and how to foster an environment that gives everyone their best chance at success, no matter their background, experience level, or artistic goals.
