Jessica Austgen is an award-winning stage actor and improviser who realized that doing improv made her acting better, and acting experience made her improv better. Neat!
Jess is based in Denver, CO and currently performs at Rise Comedy with The King Penny Radio Show, an improvised 1940’s radio drama. Recent scripted theater includes Renfield in Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really at the Arvada Center or in David Byrne’s Theater of the Mind at the DCPA. She has also developed immersive performance work—the ultimate combo of theater skills and improv training!—for Meow Wolf, The Catamounts and the Museum of AI. Jessica has over 20 years of teaching experience, with programs including Rise Comedy, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Denver School of the Arts, University of Denver, ComedySportz Denver, Camp Improv Utopia East, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.
